Yonghong Deng A/Prof.

Yonghong Deng joined the Department of Materials Science and Engineering at Southern University of Science and Technology as an associate professor in 2016.6. She received BS degree in Chemical Engineering from Xiangtan University in 1990.6, MS degree in Materials Science from South China University of Technology in 2000.6, and PhD degree in Materials Science and Engineering from Tsinghua University in 2003.12.She was a postdoctoral fellow from 2004.1to 2006.12 at Tsinghua University, and a postdoctoral fellow from 2007.1 to 2008.8 at the Lawrence Berkeley National Laboratory, the United States. She joined South China University of Technology as an Associate Professor in 2008.12 and was then promoted to be a Professor in 2014.9. Her research interests include: 1) functional polymer materials:molecular design, self-assembly, and application;2)high-performancepolymer bindersinlithium ion batteries3)solidelectrolytes for lithium ion batteries. Dr. Deng has published more than 90 papers and filed 14 China patents. She is in charge of 7 funding scontaining 2 Natural Science Foundation of China, and her two projects were qualified by the Project Assessment from Science and Technology Agency ofGuangdong. Besides, she won the first prize of Guangdng Provincial Science and Technology Award asthe main researcher, and the second prize of Natural Scientific Award of Mininstry of Education as the main researcher.
