Zhenghe Xu Chair Prof.

Zhenghe Xu, Chair Professor, Teck Professor, PhD., P.Eng., FRSC, FCAE, FCIM, joined the Department of Materials Science and Engineering at Southern University of Science and Technology in 2016. 

Dr. Xu received his PhD degree in Materials Science and Engineering from Virginia Polytechnic Institute and State University (Supervisor: Dr. Roe-Hoan Yoon), he worked as NSERC Industry Research Chair in Oil Sands Engineering (Renewal) in Department of Chemical and Materials Engineering at University of Alberta. Dr. Xu received the Syncrude Award for Excellence in Sustainable Development from the Canadian Institute of Mining, Metallurgy and Petroleum (CIM) in 2015.

Meng Gu

谷教授主要从事能源材料科学研究,研究领域包括动力电池储能材料,高性能全固态电池的合成和机理分析,工业催化剂,薄膜材料等几个方面。在博士期间,开展了多功能纳米薄膜/传感器合成和电镜表征,随后加入西北太平洋国家实验室开展锂离子电池的研发。随后加入国际知名的Dow Corning化学公司, 2015年荣获美国电镜学会Albert CREWE Award奖项。 

谷教授研究方向和领域以材料科学为核心,涉及能源存储材料的研究(锂离子电池、钠离子电池、固态电池、液流电池),利用生长多功能氧化物薄膜、三维立体电镜元素分析及原位透射电子显微镜技术,主攻能源材料的研发,取得了一系列创新性的研究成果。其中,高能富锂层状材料的研发、产业化大规模生产二维材料, 高性能介孔硅电极的研究及液体室原位电镜技术研究锂离子电池等独创性成果,解决了长期困扰该领域的瓶颈问题,为推动该领域的发展做出了突出贡献。谷教授发展改进了原位透射电子显微技术,使得在纳米、原子层次观察样品在电、力作用和液体环境下以及化学反应过程中的微观结构演化成为可能。通过研究物质在外界环境作用下的微观结构演化过程,揭示其原子结构与物理化学性质的相关性,指导其设计合成和微结构调控,促进新物质的探索和深层次物质结构研究,为解决材料科学中的具体问题提供了直接、准确和详细的方法。 

近年来,谷教授课题组发表英文期刊论文93篇, H-index达到42 。 文章多发表在Nature Communications, Nano Letters, ACS Nano, Advanced Materials, Advanced Functional Materials, Angewandte Chemie International Edition, Physical Review Letters,Nano Energy,Journal of Power Sources, Small, Scientific Reports等知名杂志, 取得多项国际同行高度认可的标志性科研成果。研究工作多次被美国能源部,西北太平洋国家实验室, SLAC 国家实验室, 英国伦敦纳米中心,帝国理工大学以及社会媒体重点宣传。 其中被国内外大学和国际会议邀请做报告30余次。

Rui-Tao Wen

温瑞涛,南方科技大学材料科学与工程系助理教授,博士生导师。于2016年获得乌普萨拉大学(瑞典)博士学位。2016-2019年在MIT从事博士后研究。研究领域涉及光电薄膜,晶圆级(wafer-level)半导体外延生长,电致变色器件等。 近年以通讯作者在Nature Materials, Adv. Funct. Mater., Chem. Mater., Appl. Phys. Lett. 等期刊发表17篇。其研究工作得到国际同行广泛关注,论文被包括Science Daily, Science Newsline, Phys.org, Uppsala University News等学术或科技媒体广泛报道。课题组与MIT、哈佛大学、瑞士联邦理工学院(ETH)、芝加哥大学,多伦多大学、早稻田大学等校建立了紧密的合作关系。本课题组20199月开始招收博士和硕士研究生,并诚聘博士后、研究助理等。欢迎具有物理、光学、材料和化学等相关专业背景的有志之士加入。

Chengzhu Liao

廖成竹博士于1999年和2002年分别获得中山大学化学工程学院学士和硕士学位,2011年2月获香港城市大学物理与材料科学工程哲学博士学位(导师:Prof. S.C. Tjong)。2002年7月至2007年12月在中山大学分析测试中心工作,2011年至2012年在香港城市大学物理与材料科学系任高级研究助理,2013年3月加入南方科技大学材料科学与工程系任教学工程师,2014年入选深圳市海外高层次人才“孔雀计划”C类。主要研究方向包括纳米复合材料、人工骨修复生物材料、电池材料等等,主持深圳市基础研究项目一项(50万),参与国家自然科学基金、广东省自然科学基金、深圳市基础研究项目、深圳市发改委工程实验室等,先后在国内外知名刊物上发表学术论文20多篇,国际学术论文3篇,担任Advances in Polymer Technology的审稿人。

Hua Cheng

程化:于2001年和2004年分别获得中南大学学士和硕士学位,专业方向分别为分析化学和应用化学。2011年于香港城市大学获得博士学位,专业方向为材料科学。2014年,深圳市海外高层次人才“孔雀计划”(B类)入选者。目前,作为教学工程师就职于南科大材料系,主要负责实验教学、实验室建设等工作,同时参与一些科研工作。科研方面主要从事纳米多孔光子晶体、新能源材料与器件方面的研究与开发工作,主持国家自然科学基金青年项目1项,深圳市基础研究项目1项,作为核心成员参与国家自然科学基金项目多项,先后在国内外知名刊物上发表学术SCI论文30多篇。

 李艳艳2010年毕业于山东师范大学,获得应用化学专业学士学位,2013年毕业于厦门大学获得物理化学专业硕士学位。自2013年毕业以来,就职于南方科技大学材料科学与工程系,任实验员。目前,在材料科学与工程系基础教学实验室主要承担的课程有《物理化学实验》,《材料学综合实验》等,负责教学实验室大型仪器的使用与维护,担任教学实验室安全员,负责实验室的安全管理工作等。
